Amidst the current health, social and economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and in a context conducive to reflection and debate with the creation of the Commission for the Social and Economic Recovery of Spain after Covid-19, CEFI has compiled a series of observations and/or proposals for change with the aim of contributing to Spain’s recovery.
CEFI believes that the future of the National Health System should be oriented towards:
- a collaborative model between all the players in the system
- a simplification of processes (reducing bureaucracy) to enable adaptation to current situations
- the promotion of digital tools and systems, as well as the use of available data,
- greater support and recognition for the innovative work carried out by biopharmaceutical companies
- the incorporation of mechanisms and solutions that guarantee rapid market access to medicinal products and innovative solutions for unmet medical needs.
