Global regulatory alignment on COVID-19 medicines and vaccines

Global action in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joint statement by the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), supported by the Spanish Medicines and Health Products Agency (AEMPS), with regulatory agencies adopting a series of measures to promote alignment on regulatory processes across all countries.

Global collaboration, rigorous regulatory practices based on scientific evidence and alignment on regulatory processes in all countries.

Purpose: to guarantee a level playing field in access to COVID-19 pandemic vaccines and medicines, ensuring that they are safe, effective and of high quality, and that all countries can benefit from these products equitably, rapidly and simultaneously.
