How do we use your information?

CEFI, pursuant to Article 6 of the GDPR and in compliance with a prior contract based on the consent of the data subject and the obligations arising from that contract, processes personal data for the following purposes:

  • Marketing of the products and services offered on the Website for the performance of the General Terms and Conditions;

  • Creation, management and maintenance of your user account;

  • Handling your enquiries, complaints or requests for information, based on the consent granted by submitting such enquiry, complaint or request. This consent may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to its withdrawal; however, such withdrawal will prevent CEFI from processing your enquiry, request or complaint.

To whom do we disclose your information?

Personal data of users may be disclosed to service providers offering courier, postal, IT and accounting/administrative services.

Service providers working with the CEFI Foundation act as data processors and do so in strict accordance with the instructions of the CEFI Foundation and in full compliance with personal data protection regulations. Data will not be disclosed to other parties and confidentiality will be respected at all times. No national or international data transfers will be carried out. Data will be retained for as long as there is a mutual interest in maintaining the purpose of the processing and will be securely deleted to ensure pseudonymisation and total destruction once they are no longer necessary for that purpose.

How long do we retain your data?

Personal data relating to the purchase of products and/or the contracting of services will be retained for as long as necessary to manage such purchases.

Where the user has created a user account, their data will be retained until the account is deleted or the right to erasure is exercised in accordance with the section “Users’ rights”.

Personal data provided in connection with an enquiry, complaint or request for information will be retained for as long as necessary to manage such request.

Notwithstanding the above, CEFI may retain personal data thereafter, duly blocked, where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to address any liabilities that may arise from the processing of such data.

What are your rights?

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, data portability and restriction of processing by writing to CEFI at the postal address indicated above or by email to info@cefi.es, stating their full name and attaching a copy of their national ID card, passport or equivalent identification document.

Users also have the right to withdraw their consent at any time by sending an email to info@cefi.es or by writing to the postal address indicated above. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.

Likewise, users have the right to seek protection from the Spanish Data Protection Agency by lodging a complaint through its website at aepd.es.
